Just wondering if there is a way to create a pdf in the background, or when the page isn’t visible. For example if when the app user clicks on the create PDF, I am wanting to open a new tab/window and have that tab rendering the PDF while the user stays on the initial tab. Currently the page will only render a PDF if the user is looking at it.

If you are asking about this possibility within the Bubble Page to PDF plugin - then, unfortunately, it is not possible. This plugin needs to “see” the page, which content he is going to convert to PDF. Thus, it is possible to create a PDF file only after the page is loaded and the element, that you want to convert - is visible.
