Thanks for reaching out! Could you please confirm which plugin you’re referring to - the Advanced Rich Text Editor or the Modern Rich Text Editor (Editor.js)?
According to our docs:

Advanced Rich Text Editor – images added directly are indeed stored as Base64; the plugin itself doesn’t have a built-in option to automatically upload the image file to Bubble’s storage instead.

Modern Rich Text Editor (Editor.js) – also works with inline image data unless paired with a custom uploader block; in this case, you could configure it to upload images to Bubble’s storage and insert the file URL rather than the Base64 data.
If you let us know which plugin you’re using, we can advise on possible workarounds or settings to reduce Base64 usage and store images more efficiently.
