Select Text within the Google View Plug In?

Is it possible to recognize text that is selected within the Zeroqode Google View Plug In so that the selected text can be displayed within a Bubble text element or otherwise saved to the database?

I have installed Airdev’s excellent Text Selection plug in (https://bubble.io/plugin/text-selection-1531353308799x534459804237692900) but it does not recognize text that is selected within an embedded document. It does not recognize text that is selected within Zeroqode’s Google View Plug In.

I believe that being able to select text within an embedded document and then being to display/input that selected text elsewhere in a Bubble app would be very valuable.

Thanks for any assistance!

Hello, @hshadab. Thanks for reaching out.

Can you please tell me which plugin you mean? I suppose you are asking about the Google Embedder - Docs, Sheets, Forms plugin? If not, then I’m afraid I can’t find a plugin you are mentioning.

Besides, can you please describe a bit more detail about what you want to achieve and using what products?

Thank you :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes, I am referring to the Google Embedder - Docs, Sheets, Forms plugin.

I am also using the Airdev Text Selector plugin which captures any text selected on a page and enables it to shown in another element such as a text element.

As shown in the screenshot 1 below, when I select text within the Google Embedder plugin, it is not captured by the Text Selector tool.

But as shown in screenshot 2, when I highlight regular text on the actual page itself it is captured by the text selector tool.

The problem must be something like the text selector tool is not able to “reach” the text within the Google Embed plugin because it is within a frame on the page and not the actual page itself.

@hshadab, okay, got it. Thanks for clarification. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes, you are right. Text in the Google Embedded documents is in the iframe, that prevents the Text Selector plugin from reaching it. And, it is not seem to be possible detect the test from docs, using the Text Selector plugin, unfortunately.
