Stripe Marketplace Express - iDeal support

Hi Zeroqode!

I just bought this plugin from you and was wondering if and how iDeal is supported in this plugin.

Basically what I intend to do is create a marketplace where one user does something for another, charges the user and I get a % fee from it. Considering the platform is to be used in The Netherlands, most of the users will be using iDeal instead of a card.

In my understanding the customer should add iDeal as a Payment Method, which can then be used in a PaymentIntent to pay the seller when he marks something as done/delivered.

However, I am only able to get Google Pay & Credit Card to be available for the user when adding a payment method.

What am I doing wrong or missing? I can’t find iDeal in the plugin documentation.

In Stripe’s documentation it shows " To accept iDEAL, you must comply with our iDEAL Terms of Service." but there’s no button to accept it.

Note: It also shows that iDeal is already active for both my test & production environments.

What am I missing?

Hi @bas, thanks for your message.
Unfortunately, the current plugin setup doesn’t provide a possibility to work with the iDeal platform. Sorry for the inconvenience.
In this case, besides the default plugin functionality, it is required to make a corresponding setup of API calls related to iDeal through the API Connector.

Thanks for your reply. I also responded on the bubble forum itself.

This is very unfortunate as I was expecting it to work, considering the plugins documentation. Can you perhaps add this to the plugin, or refund the money? I can’t use the plugin now as I need iDeal for the market I am building the app for.
