I have the Stripe Marketplace Express plugin and have it set up for users to be able to buy from the marketplace on my site and for the site to take a % commission.
However…

I have another part of my site (a job board) where I want users to be able to pay to the platform a posting fee, ideally by putting in their card details each time. Is this possible or do they have to enter their card details to have a customer ID?

This is the error message I get
Before downloading Marketplace Express I was just using the normal Stripe plugin for this (I wasn’t doing any marketplace payments at that point) and a little credit card box would appear for the poster to fill in, but that now seems to have disappeared.

Any ideas?

Can you please provide me with the next details:

  • If I understand you correctly, you are willing to change the users, who post the items on the marketplace. If yes, please let me know if these users should be registered on the platform.

This feature is available for the Stripe plugin from Bubble. However, please check this action, which could be found on our Demo Page:

Many thanks for getting back to me.

I am not looking to charge people to list their items on the marketplace, I simply take a % of any transaction they make (and yes, they need to be registered) - from what I can see, using the Marketplace Express plug in this works ok.

The issue I seem to have is on another part of my site I have a job board where I charge individuals (registered members) to post a job - is it correct that this just requires the standard Stripe plugin?
I see in your example you are using “platform charge a customer”… what is the difference between that and what I’m using, “charge the current user”?

Thanks for the details.

Glad to hear that this part of your application and our plugin works fine.

There is absolutely no difference in which plugin you will use for these purposes: standard Stripe for Bubble platform plugin or our Stripe Marketplace Express plugin. The basic functionality is the same.

However, without details about the settings on your side, I can’t provide you with a description of the exact issue.

Due to the fact that the standard Stripe plugin is created by the Bubble developer team, I would like to recommend you to check the documentation for this specific plugin:

In case you faced any issue with this plugin ( not the Stripe Marketplace Express plugin), please check the official documentation firstly :pray:
