Uplance, job-post page active tab condition not working correctly

Hi Team

Please see the attached images, there are two issues here:

  1. Description is constrantly on ‘black - completed state’
  2. All remaining tabs never get to the black completed state, always returning to ‘Grey’ unfinished visibility

Hello @ben.bryant

Thanks for reaching out.

The completed state seems to work well in the template, please make sure that you write a description for each section. Please see the video showing how the state works: Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording Software

Well clearly I’ve found a flaw in the template then.
Can you please actually advise how to investigate the completed state / state process in general. Your documentation does not cover this at all!

The states are set up in a certain way that when you write something in one of the sections and then click Next, you can go to the previous sections, because the section is filled in, and you can back to edit the section. However, when you don’t fill in the required section you can’t click through sections, because there are forms to be filled in. The section might become gray, only if the user if it skips filling in the section, The template is set up in a way, that the section is unskippable because it is configured to have a “check for input” action - which means that you can’t go to the next step if the input is empty.

As for the configuration of the states, when you load the “Post a Job” page, the state is set to active, which means that the left side menu is now highlighted and shows which section you are on. When you fill in the forms in the first “Title” section and click next you are redirected to the next section and the state is set to active “Description”. If you try to go back to section “Title” the state is set to active “Title” and goes back a section. However, if you try to go to a different section for example “Review” section, without filling in other sections it would not be clickable.

At the moment, on the demo page, the “Description” is not always in a completed state. If it is on your end, I would appreciate the video recording(with the debugger on) to see how it behaves and fix it asap

If you would like to see the configuration of the custom states, find the element that the state is configured to, and then click on element inspector to see all the actions, you can click through the actions to see what each of the action does.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Take care
