Upload videos in Clonegram

Hi,

I think there is no feature of uploading the videos in this app. I was only able to upload the photos.
Am I missing anything ?

Yes, you are right. There is no such feature incorporated in the template.
You could see the documentation which comes with template and see the template’s features, pages and data structure: https://docs.zeroqode.com/templates/clonegram-images-like-instagram-template
Adding it shouldn’t hard though and as for playing videos you could use - https://bubble.is/plugin/video-player-1501139177102x962103902963236900 this plugin.

Thanks @Dumitru, I was also thinking to add this plugin in the app. But before it I was just thinking that can I achieve this functionality by any free plugin like ‘video js’ ?

Hi Aditya, the free plugins might also work just compare the demos and see the difference in their functionality. If what you see in a free plugin looks sufficient then that should be ok

Hi @levon,
Hope you are doing well. I have successfully able to upload the videos now. I have some queries, I hope you can help me.

  1. I am only able to upload ‘mp4’ extension videos. How can I allow other extensions as well by using the ‘video js’ plugin
  2. I am also not able to apply the filters in the video, I am applying the same approach as it is applied in the Image section.

Hi Aditay,

  1. video.js plugin is not built by us, so i’d recommend you to reach out to the plugin creator or use a different plugin
  2. Filters for images and for videos work differently. For videos you either need to process the video in some way which won’t be fast I guess, or just use an image layer on top of the video which would have some opacity and certain effects.

I am trying to add the Instagram story feature in our ‘Clonegram’ template. Can you please tell me which plugin will be useful for showing the stories?

  1. I have checked ‘video js’ plugin(https://zeroqode.com/plugin/video-player-1512891053548x348823817833938940), which looks productive.

  2. I think for showing the story we need to save our stories data in a single table(unlike images and video in two different tables). If we choose ‘file’ type, then we might show the things easily, what say ?
