How does the upvote work? The little arrow, how does it go up in count?

Thanks for reaching out. Let me give some insights here.
When you click the arrow to actually upvote, it is going to increment the value and an alert-type message will appear saying that you’ve successfully upvoted, but if the listing has already been upvoted by you as an user (its colored blue and points up), then it’s not possible to upvote again. If you’d like to test this feature, it would be best to create another user and try this listing, or create a new listing and you’ll be able to upvote with the same user logged in.

But, I’ve just discovered that this feature is not working properly, unfortunately. Please let our development team fix it and I’ll notify you back as soon as possible, so you’ll be able to use this functionality.

Could you please describe how you’ve managed to test the email confirmation, as it is not working on our side yet. Our development team already is checking on this issue.
Yes, it is possible to upload gifs, although it might not display them once you post the new listing, as it is set to be an image.
Unfortunately, this template doesn’t implement the feature of messaging. You can only send emails through user’s menu for Contact tab. Perhaps you might consider our UpHunt or Redditly templates as alternatives.
This one is not a bug, it is actually a security measurement so users do not delete/change any data if they do not have admin rights. Please check templates docs here https://docs.zeroqode.com/templates/upvote-listing-app-template#things-to-note for more information.
Note: we strongly recommend to have an intermediate experience with Bubble to easily tweak this template, or at least a basic understanding to be able to work with embedded functionality.
