Video Recorder to AWS

When using the video recorder, is there a way to have it automatically uploaded to AWS while recording or after stopping the recording?

Hello @web1,

Thank you for getting in touch with us!

Yes, the plugin supports saving to multiple cloud services, including AWS. You can configure this in the “Save Recording” action, where you have the option to choose AWS as the service for uploading.

However, while testing the plugin to provide you with accurate information, I encountered an issue with saving to an AWS bucket. Please bear with us while we investigate this matter, and we will get back to you with an update regarding the issue.

If you have any further questions or run into any issues, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Talk to you soon :hugs:

Hi @web1

Thank you for your patience, and I’d be delighted to guide you through the process of saving a recording to AWS step by step:

  1. Begin by setting up the element on your page and ensure that “File Uploads Enabled” is set to “Yes.”
  2. Configure the action to start the camera and begin recording following the instructions provided in our Documentation.
  3. Next, add an event trigger labeled “When Recording Finished.” This event needs to activate the “Save Recording” action.
  4. In the “Save to” dropdown within the action settings, choose “AWS” and enter your bucket name and bucket region.
  5. In the plugin settings, press on the “Video Recorder” plugin. Here, you’ll find two input fields for the secret and access keys. Please input the necessary information.
  6. Finally, conduct a test to ensure that the recording is successfully uploaded to the designated AWS bucket.

If you encounter any difficulties or have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out for further assistance.

Have a fantastic day ahead! :hugs: :star2:
