Video Recorder Upload to AWS

Are there any tips to getting a video recorded with the video recorder uploaded to AWS. Im using both AWS uploader and Video Recorder plugin individually but cannot figure out how to get the video that was recorded uploaded to my aws bucket.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hello, @alexquinonez
Thanks for your question.

Please note that on our Demo Page we already demonstrated how exactly you can save the recorded video in the AWS:

You can add a button “save” and create the next workflow for it:

In this case, your video will be saved to your specific AWS bucket.

Hope it will help you.
Best regards.

Thank you so much for your response. Ive tried following the demo and adding a “save button” after the video has been recorded and stopped - but nothing gets uploaded. The AWS plugin uploads no problem but the video recorder is not uploading :frowning:

Is there a specific place in workflow the save should be added?

Hello, @alexquinonez

Can you please let me know if you already checked this part of the documentation for enabling AWS uploading: https://docs.zeroqode.com/plugins/video-recorder#aws

Also, let me know if you filled the keys here:

Can you please check if there are some errors in the Console in your browser?

You should add this action for the button "Save to AWS, as was demonstrated in my previous screenshot.
Thus, can you please share the screenshots of your current settings for our investigation?

Best regards,

Hello @Ecaterina,

I really appreciate your help! I created a keypair in AWS and added to the plugin settings.

Though in the instructions here: https://docs.zeroqode.com/plugins/video-recorder it only shows to do this for Wasabi integration and for AWS it just says:

Errors: No errors coming up.

This is the video recorder page - Activity

And settings -

Hello, @alexquinonez
Thanks for the screenshots.

Yes, since you need to configure the AWS firstly, and after it - to add all required information for Video Recorder plugin.

Due to the fact that we have some additional questions regarding your settings, can you please add our Support Team email to the list of collaborators to your application and provide me a link to your application? This will allow us to check your settings and run some tests to fix the mentioned problem.

To add our Support Team as a collaborator, you need to do the following steps in the Bubble Editor:

Settings > Collaboration > Add email support@zeroqode.com

Note: avoid the warning message regarding the plan, as we are an agency and you can easily add us to your collaborators.

Looking to hear you soon.
Regards,

Awesome @Ecaterina Ive just added you.

Hello, @alexquinonez
Thanks for the provided access.

I’ve investigated your application and found the root cause of your issue.
Please note that initially, for the “Record” button you have set autosaving and saving to Bubble DataBase. Thus, due to the process of saving the video to the Bubble DB, it was not possible to save the file to AWS at the same time:

I’ve changed values in the mentioned files to “no” and the process of saving the recorded file to the AWS bucket has started:

However, as you can see, you need to check the configuration of the ACLs of your AWS bucket:

Please check the documentation for the AWS plugin ( ACLs section) and official AWS docs for fixing it:

Hope it will be helpful for you.
Best regards,

Awesome! Thanks so much for your help, that worked! Just one follow up question, is there a way to get the URL of the uploaded video as part of a workflow?

Hello, @alexquinonez
Happy to hear that it is working now.

Yes, it is possible to receive the link for the uploaded video, using the AWS file uploader. The plugin comes with the multi-file uploader element as well as the S3 objects element that returns a list of all the files uploaded to your AWS S3 bucket.

I need to note that it is possible in case you will upload your video through the File Uploader, but not through the workflow for saving the video, recorded by the plugin.

I’ve accessed your application once again and created a simple text element, where the Data Source - the recorded video URL:

Hope you need exactly this feature :slightly_smiling_face:

If you like our plugin, could you please rate it by going to the Plugins tab in Bubble editor? You can find the plugin by name and give it as many stars as it deserves

I will be grateful to receive your feedback.
Thanks!
