Video watch minute restrictor

Hello,
Can I set a minute watch limit on the videos that are watched by the customers of my app content creators?

eg- content creator ‘X’ has a 100 subscribers. One of them is ‘Y’.

X uploads a new video of 10 mins length, and wants his viewers to watch it for a maximum of 1.5 times, ie 15 mins.

so Y, when he clicks on the vid, can play, rewind, forward or do any view actions…provided his maximum watch time is 15 mins.

Hi @mbyashas4,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

Tracking video watch time is not directly achievable through our plugins alone or in a straightforward manner. However, you can use our Video Player Plugin to display videos on your application.

To track the time watched, you can create a workflow that logs the current timestamp each time a video is played or paused. By calculating the difference between timestamps, you can accumulate the total time a user has watched a video. Once the user has reached the total allowed watch time, you can either disable the player or display a message notifying them that they have reached their limit.

Please note that this is just a suggestion, and your implementation might vary based on your specific use case
