I need to provide users with custom fields in a ZQ rich text editor that creates content for sending emails.
Is that possible with ZQRTE?
If so so, can you tell how?

For instance, I need to allow my users to personalize the message they type in ZQRTE with their customers’ names, to send an email campaign.
So I’d like a dropdown in which they can choose “first name”, “last name”, “address”… as placeholders that go in the body of their text in the RTE… similar to what Mailchimp does to send an email campaign.

I am afraid your described use case is currently not possible in this version of RTE, and its main purpose is to edit the text. However, the RTE has a tag feature that might be useful for your use case, where you can store the names in the Database and then retrieve them with “@” tags. The tag feature won’t work: a typical client of mine can’t possibly tag 300 of her customers manually in each email.
I’m building a mailchimp kind of feature for my customers. So I need to pull up first names, etc. directly in the body of the email, similar to what we do in the bubble editor.

Unfortunately, our RTE does not support this type of feature, but hopefully, you’ll be able to find a plugin that will fit your use case.
